Catwalks exhibition - NRW Forum
We have been invited to participate in the “Catwalks” exhibition at NRW Forum in Düsseldorf which is a collaboration between the museum director Werner Lippert, Vogue Magazine Germany and Alexander de Betak.
We will, together with a number of amazing streetstyle-bloggers such as Facehunter, Styleclicker and Modedorf, exhibit our pictures at the NRW Forum (opening on the 25th of July).
As part of the exhibition we are hunting the streets for cool people, equipped with a Nokia N97-phone (pictures above are taken with the phone).
About the exhibition:
“With a multimedia-based installation and reconstruction of some of the most spectacular catwalks of the last thirty years; the audience will find themselves an integral part of the production. Equally, this dramatic self-exposure of fashion will be shown as a cultural event; the fashion-circus as a theatric wunderkammer, like that of Galliano.
The exhibition contains works and installations from Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler, Junja Watanabe, Yohij Yamamoto, Versace, Hussein Chalayan, Dior, John Galliano, Rodarte, Marc Jacobs, Thierry Mugler, Viktor + Rolf”.
About the streetstyle-genre at the exhibition:
“The form of catwalk representation and fashion journalism are constantly changing and these days the fashion-blogger and style hunter have an ever increasing weight of influence. Thus there will be a overview-show to be held in the foyer of the NRW Forum where the theme will be “Streetwalk”. It’s expected that around six local and international “Streethunters” will present their works, daily on the biggest and most real of catwalks. Also planned is a film, showing the working process of a Streethunter. With Nokia as an active co-operation’s partner, all bloggers gets a Nokia N97 mobile and the pictures will be presented at the show with quotes from important designers and fashion-insiders”.
